Overview

**pazopanib + paclitaxel + carboplatin** is a combination regimen used in investigational cancer therapy, comprising an oral angiogenesis inhibitor (**pazopanib**), a microtubule stabilizer (**paclitaxel**), and a platinum-based DNA crosslinker (**carboplatin**). Pazopanib inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFRs), platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFRs), and c-Kit, thus blocking tumor angiogenesis; paclitaxel promotes microtubule stabilization, causing mitotic arrest; and carboplatin forms DNA adducts leading to apoptosis. This combination has been tested primarily for advanced solid tumors, gynecologic cancers, and other malignancies, but is associated with substantial myelotoxicity and pharmacokinetic interactions, notably due to pazopanib increasing paclitaxel and carboplatin exposure[1][2][4][7].
