Overview

**PB-718** is PegBio's investigational, once-weekly, subcutaneous fixed-dose combination of PB-119, a glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor agonist, and PB-722, a glucagon receptor agonist. The dual-peptide regimen is designed to balance GLP-1 receptor-mediated appetite reduction and glycemic effects with glucagon receptor-mediated energy expenditure and hepatic lipid effects. In a completed phase 1b/2a obesity study, PB-718 produced dose-dependent reductions in body weight, metabolic measures, liver fat, and visceral fat, with mainly mild gastrointestinal adverse events. It is being developed for obesity and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
