Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PB-RUTI-01 is a toxoid-based active immunotherapy (vaccine) candidate being developed by Proxi Biotech for the prevention and treatment of recurrent urinary tract infections (rUTI). The vaccine utilizes a toxoid-based platform designed to elicit protective immunity against pathogens that cause UTIs, particularly those associated with antimicrobial resistance (AMR). By targeting bacterial toxins or virulence factors, the immunotherapy aims to trigger a robust immune response to prevent infection recurrence. As of early 2024, the program is in the discovery and preclinical stages of development, with Croda Pharma serving as a strategic partner for the project.
