PB-TT01 is a next-generation radioligand therapy (RLT) being developed by Primo Biotechnology for the treatment of metastatic prostate cancer (mPCa). The therapeutic candidate consists of a targeting ligand directed against the Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA), a cell-surface protein highly overexpressed in prostate cancer, conjugated to the radioisotope Terbium-161 (161Tb). Terbium-161 is a promising therapeutic isotope that emits beta particles similar to Lutetium-177, but also provides a high yield of short-range Auger and conversion electrons. This dual emission profile potentially enhances the therapeutic index by delivering a higher radiation dose to small tumor clusters and micrometastases while minimizing damage to adjacent healthy tissues. PB-TT01 is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
