Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PB001 is a recombinant bispecific monoclonal antibody under development by Pure Biologics for the immunotherapy of colorectal cancer. The drug is designed to simultaneously engage TIM-3 on tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and an undisclosed tumor-associated antigen on cancer cells. This dual targeting aims to reverse T-cell exhaustion and activate cytotoxic lymphocytes within the tumor microenvironment, thereby enhancing immune-mediated destruction of cancer cells. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that the compound can activate immune responses without significant toxicity in animal models. The project represents a novel approach in immuno-oncology by leveraging both checkpoint inhibition and direct activation of anti-tumor immunity[3][5].
