PB02

PB02 is a topical neuro-dermatological agent developed by Prospera Biotech for the management of hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). Marketed under the brand name Ecrisens, PB02 acts as an antagonist of the Transient Receptor Potential Ankyrin 1 (TRPA1) channel. Unlike traditional antiperspirants that use aluminum salts to physically plug sweat glands, PB02 targets the underlying neuro-sensory pathways. By inhibiting TRPA1 channels on sensory nerve endings in the skin, it modulates the peripheral signals that stimulate eccrine sweat glands, effectively reducing sweat production. This mechanism offers a non-invasive, aluminum-free therapeutic option for individuals with primary hyperhidrosis or those with sensitive skin who cannot tolerate conventional treatments. PB02 is currently marketed as a topical gel formulation.
