PB101 (also referred to as PB-101) is an autologous cell therapy consisting of natural killer (NK) and natural killer T (NKT) cells, developed by Precision Biotech Taiwan Corp. for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The therapy involves the ex vivo expansion and activation of a patient's own immune cells, which are then re-infused to harness their innate ability to recognize and eliminate malignant cells. PB101 is currently being evaluated in a Phase I clinical trial in combination with standard-of-care EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs), such as osimertinib, gefitinib, erlotinib, or afatinib, specifically for patients with EGFR-mutated advanced NSCLC. This combination approach aims to enhance the therapeutic efficacy of targeted treatments and potentially overcome resistance mechanisms through cellular immunotherapy.
