Overview

PB1103 is an investigational synergy interferon-alfa biologic developed by PEG Biosciences using its proprietary BioSynersys™ platform. This platform creates 'Synergy PEG-enhanced biologics' designed to improve the pharmacological properties of the protein. PB1103 targets the interferon-alfa pathway and is intended for the treatment of various oncology and viral indications, including kidney cancer, melanoma, Kaposi sarcoma, hairy cell leukemia (HCL), chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), and hepatitis B and C. Compared to standard pegylated interferon-alfa, PB1103 is designed to provide increased, sustained, and prolonged biological activity in blood plasma, potentially offering superior efficacy in treating hematologic cancers and viral diseases.
