Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PB127 is an investigational ultrasound contrast agent developed for myocardial perfusion imaging, particularly in patients with suspected or known coronary artery disease. It consists of intravenously administered microspheres that enhance the visualization of blood flow during ultrasound imaging procedures. The agent is effective for intermittent harmonic power Doppler imaging and has been studied as a potential first FDA-approved contrast agent specifically for myocardial perfusion assessment. Clinical studies have also evaluated its safety profile in patients with varying pulmonary hemodynamics and its use alongside pharmacologic stress agents such as dipyridamole[1][2][3][5][7].
