Overview

PB151 is a selective, brain-penetrant, and orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of histone deacetylase 11 (HDAC11) being developed by Neurodexis11 Therapeutics (a spinout from Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School) for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and other central nervous system (CNS) disorders. By selectively targeting HDAC11, PB151 aims to modulate neuroinflammation and gene regulation pathways. In preclinical models of Alzheimer's disease, including 5XFAD and Tau P301S mice, PB151 has demonstrated efficacy in reducing amyloid and tau pathology, decreasing key inflammatory cytokines, and restoring cognitive function.
