Overview

PBF-1650 is a selective, orally bioavailable small molecule antagonist of the adenosine A1 and A3 receptors. It is being developed primarily for the treatment of atopic dermatitis and psoriasis, with additional investigation in non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and previously in idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura. The drug acts by blocking adenosine A1 and A3 receptors, which are implicated in inflammatory pathways relevant to autoimmune and skin disorders. The developer is Palobiofarma, a Spanish biotechnology company specializing in drugs targeting adenosine receptors[1][2][3][4].
