PBI-100

PBI-100 is a first-in-class, highly selective small molecule modulator of tropomyosin receptor kinase (TRK), specifically targeting the nerve growth factor receptor TrkA. It is being developed as a topical cream for dermatological conditions such as mild to moderate psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. The drug acts primarily as a TrkA antagonist and tropomyosin-related kinase modulator, aiming to reduce inflammation in skin disorders. Originally developed by Pyramid Biosciences, development has continued under Biohaven Pharmaceuticals with AstraZeneca also involved in its development pipeline[1][2][3]. As of early 2025, clinical development has reached Phase 1 trials for psoriasis and other skin diseases[1][2][4].
