Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PBI-108 is a preclinical-stage bispecific antibody developed by Protheragen for the treatment of solid tumors. It is designed to simultaneously target Programmed Cell Death Protein 1 (PD-1) and Sialic Acid-Binding Ig-Like Lectin 15 (Siglec-15). By targeting PD-1, the drug aims to block the inhibitory signal that prevents T-cell activation, while targeting Siglec-15 addresses a distinct immunosuppressive pathway often utilized by tumors that do not respond to traditional PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors. This dual-targeting approach is intended to enhance the anti-tumor immune response and overcome resistance in various solid malignancies.
