PBI-1308

PBI-1308 (also known as SG001) is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor, an immune checkpoint protein expressed on the surface of T cells. By binding to PD-1, PBI-1308 blocks its interaction with the ligands PD-L1 and PD-L2, which are frequently upregulated in the tumor microenvironment to suppress immune surveillance. This blockade restores the activity of exhausted T cells, enabling the immune system to mount an effective anti-tumor response. Developed using ProBioGen's proprietary cell line technology, PBI-1308 was licensed to CSPC Pharmaceutical Group and Beijing Sumgen Biotech for clinical development. It is currently being investigated in Phase II clinical trials for various oncology indications, including cervical cancer and other advanced solid tumors, both as a monotherapy and in combination with other anti-cancer therapies.
