Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PBI-203 is a preclinical-stage bispecific antibody developed by Protheragen for the treatment of solid tumors. It is designed to simultaneously target Programmed Death-Ligand 1 (PD-L1) and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF). By dual-targeting these pathways, PBI-203 aims to inhibit tumor immune evasion and suppress angiogenesis, potentially offering a synergistic therapeutic effect compared to monotherapies. The anti-PD-L1 component blocks the PD-1/PD-L1 checkpoint to restore T-cell activity, while the anti-VEGF component inhibits the formation of new blood vessels that support tumor growth.
