Overview

PBP1601 is a biosimilar monoclonal antibody developed by Prestige Biopharma (PBK) that targets the Receptor Activator of Nuclear Factor Kappa-B Ligand (RANK-L). It is designed as a biosimilar to denosumab, which is marketed under the brand names Prolia and Xgeva. As a RANK-L neutralizing antibody, PBP1601 inhibits the maturation, function, and survival of osteoclasts, thereby reducing bone resorption and increasing bone mass and strength. The drug is currently in the IND-enabling preclinical development phase for the treatment of osteoporosis and bone metastases.
