Overview
PBS Vax HBV Vaccine is a preclinical-stage therapeutic vaccine candidate developed by Auro Vaccines for the treatment of chronic Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. The vaccine utilizes a proprietary heterologous prime-boost platform (PBS Vax) consisting of a GeneVax DNA prime—delivered alongside a GeneVax IL-12 adjuvant via electroporation—followed by a VesiculoVax viral-vector boost. This strategy is engineered to induce robust and durable cell-mediated immune responses, specifically CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, against HBV antigens across all eight known genotypes. The VesiculoVax component employs modified negative-strand, non-segmented RNA virus vectors to safely deliver immunogens and synergistically expand the T cell populations primed by the DNA component.
