Overview

PBSA02 is a lytic bacteriophage targeting *Staphylococcus aureus*, including methicillin-resistant *Staphylococcus aureus* (MRSA). Sourced from the Korean Phage Biobank, PBSA02 has demonstrated broad lytic activity against various MRSA sequence types (STs), particularly ST93 and ST30. It has been evaluated in clinical trials and compassionate use programs, such as the Standardised Treatment and Monitoring Protocol (STAMP) study in Australia, for the treatment of severe MRSA infections, including necrotising pneumonia.
