PC-0098 is a long-acting injectable (LAI) microsphere formulation of aripiprazole, developed by Changtai Pharmaceutical (PharmaMax Corp). Aripiprazole is an atypical antipsychotic that functions as a partial agonist at dopamine D2 and serotonin 5-HT1A receptors and as an antagonist at serotonin 5-HT2A receptors. This sustained-release formulation is designed for the treatment of schizophrenia and major depressive disorder (MDD), where it is typically utilized as an adjunctive therapy.
