Overview

PCP-PBMCs is an autologous cell therapy consisting of purified peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) developed by DuoGenic StemCells Corporation (DGSC). The product is obtained through a proprietary peripheral-blood cell purification (PCP) process. It is designed for intra-articular injection to treat knee osteoarthritis (KOA). The therapy aims to leverage the anti-inflammatory and regenerative potential of mononuclear cells (including lymphocytes and monocytes) to reduce pain, restore motor function, and improve the quality of life in patients with degenerative joint disease. It is currently being evaluated in Phase II/III clinical trials as an alternative to corticosteroids like methylprednisolone.
