Overview
PCV-NEO-ONC-RNA is a personalized neoantigen-based mRNA vaccine developed by Dongfang Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Tongji University (also known as Shanghai East Hospital). It is currently being investigated for the treatment of advanced malignant solid tumors. The vaccine is produced by identifying unique mutations in a patient's tumor through next-generation sequencing (NGS) and selecting the most immunogenic neoantigens. These sequences are then incorporated into an mRNA platform. Upon administration, the mRNA is translated into neoantigen proteins, which are processed and presented by antigen-presenting cells to activate tumor-specific CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, thereby eliciting a targeted immune response against the cancer cells.
