Nanogrow Biotech's PD-1 nanobody (AAV delivery) is a preclinical-stage gene therapy candidate designed for the treatment of solid tumors. It utilizes an adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector to deliver the genetic sequence for a single-domain antibody (nanobody) targeting the Programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) immune checkpoint. Once administered, the AAV vector drives the sustained *in vivo* expression and secretion of the nanobody, which binds to PD-1 on T cells, preventing its interaction with ligands (PD-L1/PD-L2) and thereby enhancing anti-tumor immune responses. This approach aims to provide long-term systemic checkpoint blockade without the need for frequent intravenous infusions of conventional monoclonal antibodies.
