PD-616

PD-616 is an investigational drug that has been studied in combination with low-dose cytarabine for the treatment of acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). Preliminary clinical studies indicated that PD-616 is extremely potent in causing a marked and favorable increase in white blood cells. The precise mechanism of action, chemical structure, and molecular target of PD-616 have not been publicly disclosed. The available data suggest it was being evaluated as a potential adjunct to standard chemotherapy to enhance hematopoietic recovery or anti-leukemic efficacy[1][4][9].
