PD-BT2238

PD-BT2238 is a second-generation, oligomer-selective alpha-synuclein antibody developed by BioArctic. It combines a highly selective antibody targeting aggregated forms of alpha-synuclein with BioArctic’s proprietary Brain Transporter technology, which is designed to enhance the delivery and exposure of the antibody in the brain. The primary aim of this approach is to increase efficacy as a potential disease-modifying treatment for Parkinson’s disease, where alpha-synuclein aggregation plays a key pathogenic role. As of late 2022, PD-BT2238 was in the discovery phase and had not yet entered clinical trials[1][2][5][6].
