Overview

PD-Co-005 is a preclinical-stage peptide therapeutic candidate being developed by Chengdu Peide Biopharmaceutical for the treatment of hereditary angioedema (HAE). The drug is designed to act as an inhibitor of plasma kallikrein (PKal), a key enzyme in the contact activation pathway. By inhibiting PKal, PD-Co-005 aims to prevent the excessive production of bradykinin, which is responsible for the localized swelling and pain associated with HAE attacks. The program is currently in the lead optimization or preclinical candidate (PCC) stage.
