Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PD-L1 CAR NK-92 is an engineered chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) natural killer (NK) cell therapy that utilizes the human NK cell line NK-92. This therapy is designed to selectively target and eliminate cells that exhibit high expression levels of programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), such as follicular helper T cells (TFH). The CAR construct incorporates the extracellular domain of programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) to confer specificity for PD-1. PD-L1 CAR NK-92 is being developed as a novel therapeutic tool for TFH-driven diseases, including autoimmune conditions like systemic lupus erythematosus, by suppressing pathogenic TFH responses.
