The pd-l1 fusion protein vaccine is a cancer vaccine candidate developed by CK Life Sciences. It is a recombinant protein consisting of the extracellular domain of PD-L1 fused with immune enhancers, produced using an E. coli expression system. The vaccine is designed to stimulate the immune system to produce neutralizing antibodies against PD-L1, thereby inhibiting the PD-1/PD-L1 immune checkpoint pathway. In preclinical studies using syngeneic mouse models of pancreatic cancer (Panc02), the vaccine has demonstrated anti-tumor activity, which is significantly enhanced when combined with a B7-H3 fusion protein vaccine. This combination therapy has been shown to increase CD4+ T-cell infiltration into tumors, leading to more effective tumor growth inhibition.
