The PD-L1 x TIGIT bispecific antibody is an investigational immunotherapy being developed by Cellemedy. It is designed to simultaneously target and block two distinct immune checkpoint pathways: the Programmed Death-Ligand 1 (PD-L1) / PD-1 axis and the T-cell Immunoreceptor with Ig and ITIM domains (TIGIT) pathway. PD-L1 is often overexpressed on tumor cells to evade immune detection, while TIGIT is an inhibitory receptor found on T cells and Natural Killer (NK) cells that further suppresses the immune response. By co-inhibiting these targets, this bispecific antibody aims to synergistically restore the activity of exhausted immune cells and promote a more robust anti-tumor response compared to monotherapy.
