PD-L1Long

PD-L1Long (IMGS-501) is a long-acting PD-L1 antagonist being developed by ImmunoGenesis for the treatment of various cancers. It is engineered as a high-affinity decoy receptor or modified protein that blocks the interaction between Programmed cell death 1 ligand 1 (PD-L1) and its receptor PD-1. By inhibiting this checkpoint, PD-L1Long aims to overcome immune evasion by tumors and restore the activity of cytotoxic T-cells. The "Long" designation refers to its engineered extended half-life, intended to provide more durable pathway inhibition compared to standard antibody-based therapies, potentially improving efficacy in tumors with low PD-L1 expression or poor drug penetration. It is part of the company's Evade platform, which focuses on targeting the PD-L1/PD-1 axis in tumors that are typically resistant to standard checkpoint inhibitors.
