Overview

PDA-001 and PDA-002 are allogeneic, unmodified mesenchymal-like adherent stromal cell (MLASC) therapies derived from healthy, full-term human placental tissue, developed by Celularity. PDA-001 is formulated for intravenous infusion, while PDA-002 is designed for local injection. These therapies exert their therapeutic effects through immunomodulation, reduction of inflammation, and promotion of angiogenesis and tissue regeneration. PDA-002 has completed Phase 2 clinical trials for diabetic foot ulcers (DFU), particularly in patients with peripheral artery disease, demonstrating safety and efficacy in promoting wound healing. PDA-001 has been investigated for immune-mediated conditions such as Crohn's disease and multiple sclerosis. These products are often grouped together in Celularity's pipeline for the treatment of Crohn's disease and diabetic foot ulcers.
