Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PDC-2 is a discovery-stage therapeutic candidate being developed by New Path Molecular Research. It is part of the company's pipeline of "Proprietary Drug Conjugates" (PDCs) designed to target phosphatidylserine (PS). In healthy cells, PS is typically restricted to the inner leaflet of the plasma membrane; however, in the tumor microenvironment, it becomes exposed on the outer surface of tumor cells and vascular endothelial cells, where it acts as an immunosuppressive signal. PDC-2 is engineered to recognize this exposed PS, allowing for the selective delivery of therapeutic activity to solid tumors that exhibit high PS expression.
