Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PDC Neo (also written as PDC*neo) is an investigational, off-the-shelf cell therapy-based cancer vaccine developed by PDC*line Pharma, a spin-off of the French Blood Bank (EFS). The drug is built on the proprietary PDC*vac platform, which utilizes a potent, allogeneic plasmacytoid dendritic cell (PDC) line as the active cellular ingredient. PDC Neo is designed for personalized medicine by loading these allogeneic cells with patient-specific tumor neoantigens (tumor-specific somatic mutations) identified from the patient's tumor. The loaded cells are irradiated, packaged, and frozen for off-the-shelf distribution. Upon administration, the vaccine aims to prime and expand a robust anti-neoantigen CD8+ T-cell immune response to target and eliminate tumor cells. PDC Neo is primarily being developed for colorectal cancer, with additional research initiated for breast, liver, and bladder cancers.
