Overview

PDgrastim is a recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (r-metHuG-CSF) biosimilar of filgrastim, developed and marketed by Pooyesh Darou in Iran. It is produced using recombinant DNA technology and is indicated to reduce the duration of neutropenia and the incidence of febrile neutropenia in patients undergoing myelosuppressive cytotoxic chemotherapy for non-myeloid malignancies. It is also used to reduce neutropenia duration in patients undergoing myeloablative therapy followed by bone marrow transplantation, and for the mobilization of peripheral blood progenitor cells (PBPCs).
