PDS0204

PDS0204 is an investigational, Versamune-based recombinant protein vaccine candidate for the prevention of COVID-19 that combines PDS Biotechnology’s T cell–activating Versamune nanotechnology platform with a Farmacore-developed recombinant fusion protein antigen derived from SARS-CoV-2.[1][3][9][12] The Versamune platform is designed to enhance in vivo uptake and processing of the viral antigen and activate type 1 interferon–driven immune pathways, with the goal of inducing robust neutralizing antibodies together with strong, long-lived CD8+ killer and memory T cell responses against SARS-CoV-2 to protect against infection and reduce transmission.[1][3][5][9][12] PDS Biotech and Farmacore have co-developed PDS0204, with early-stage development and planned Phase 1 clinical evaluation in Brazil supported in part by the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communication.[3][5][9][12]
