Overview
PE0116 is a human immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4) agonistic monoclonal antibody that targets the inducible T-cell costimulatory receptor CD137 (also known as 4-1BB or tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 9, TNFRSF9). By binding to CD137 on T cells, PE0116 acts as an agonist to stimulate immune responses against tumors. This immunostimulatory mechanism has potential antineoplastic effects. The drug is being developed for the treatment of advanced solid tumors and has shown a favorable safety profile in early-phase clinical trials, with preliminary evidence of durable responses in heavily pretreated cancer patients[1][3][5]. Clinical development includes both monotherapy and combination therapy approaches.
