Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PE0607 is an experimental small molecule and selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) developed by the V. Danilevsky Institute of Endocrine Pathology Problems of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. As a novel 17β-estradiol derivative, PE0607 exhibits selective estrogen-like activity and antioxidant properties. In preclinical models of estrogen deficiency, such as ovariectomized rats fed a high-fat or high-fructose diet, PE0607 has been shown to decrease visceral obesity, improve insulin sensitivity, and suppress dyslipidemia and cardiometabolic risk without significantly impacting uterine weight, suggesting potential utility in treating postmenopausal metabolic syndrome and obesity.
