Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**PearlMatrix P-15 Peptide Enhanced Bone Graft** is Cerapedics' Class III composite drug-device bone-graft product, formerly developed as P-15L Bone Graft. Its active agent is synthetic P-15, a 15-amino-acid peptide that mimics the osteogenic cell-binding region of type I collagen. P-15 is coated onto calcium-phosphate anorganic bone mineral particles within a collagen carrier, creating an osteoconductive scaffold that promotes osteogenic-cell attachment and activation to accelerate new bone formation. It is FDA-approved for lumbar interbody fusion in skeletally mature adults with degenerative disc disease and is supplied for surgical implantation at the fusion site.
