Originally isolated from chicken intestines in Taiwan, this live biotherapeutic candidate functions by modulating the gut-brain axis and the intestinal microbiota. Preclinical research indicates that SWP-CGPA01 supplementation can alleviate diarrhea and restore hippocampal brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) expression in models of antibiotic-induced dysbiosis.
