Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PEDQ is a recombinant protein subunit vaccine developed by Reber Genetics for the prevention of Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea (PED) in swine. The vaccine is produced using a proprietary subunit technology platform that applies principles of cancer immunotherapy to animal health, presenting specific Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea virus (PEDV) antigens to induce a protective immune response. PED is a highly contagious viral disease characterized by severe enteric distress, vomiting, and high mortality rates in neonatal piglets, posing a significant economic threat to the swine industry. As of 2019, a New Drug Application (NDA) for PEDQ was filed in Taiwan.
