Overview

A combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of **pegaspargase** (a pegylated recombinant L-asparaginase enzyme), **gemcitabine** (a nucleoside analog antimetabolite), and **oxaliplatin** (a platinum-based cytotoxic agent). This regimen is primarily used for the treatment of **extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTL)**, particularly in advanced-stage or relapsed/refractory disease. Pegaspargase depletes asparagine needed for protein synthesis in lymphoma cells[3][7]. Gemcitabine interferes with DNA synthesis via inhibition of DNA polymerase[2][3]. Oxaliplatin induces DNA crosslinking and apoptosis[3]. Synergistic effects are observed in patients with NK/T-cell lymphoma, and all three agents show independent anti-tumor activity with combined immune modulation[3][8].
