Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A PEGylated recombinant protein biologic developed by Beijing Tri-Prime Gene Pharmaceutical for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B. It is a long-acting interferon mutant designed to provide prolonged interferon-alpha activity and enhanced antiviral effects compared to standard formulations. As an IFNAR agonist, it induces an innate antiviral immune response and acts as an immunostimulant. The drug is currently in Phase 1 clinical development in China, where studies have evaluated its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic profiles in healthy subjects and patients with chronic hepatitis B.
