Overview

Peiyukeli (also known as Peiyu granules or PYG) is an investigational traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compound granule preparation composed of 19 different herbs, including Herba Taxilli, Semen Cuscutae, Cortex Eucommiae, Radix Dipsaci, and Rhizoma Dioscoreae. Originally formulated by Professor Zhao Quansong, Peiyukeli is designed to treat patients with threatened abortion of spleen and kidney deficiency syndrome. It is developed as an adjunct to integrated Chinese and Western luteal support in women undergoing in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET) to improve pregnancy outcomes and reduce early miscarriage rates. Clinical studies, including a large-scale randomized controlled trial conducted by Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Capital Medical University, have demonstrated that Peiyukeli can significantly reduce early miscarriage rates among women undergoing embryo transfer.
