Pelargonium sidoides extract is an herbal drug preparation derived from the roots of the Pelargonium sidoides plant, which is native to South Africa. [16] It is widely used for treating acute respiratory tract infections, including acute bronchitis, sinusitis, the common cold, and tonsillitis. [3, 4] The primary standardized extract is known as EPs 7630, which is manufactured by Dr. Willmar Schwabe Pharmaceuticals.
