Pelavo Med

Pelavo Med is an over-the-counter (OTC) herbal medicinal product developed and marketed by USP Zdrowie for the symptomatic treatment of the common cold. The active ingredient is a liquid extract from the roots of *Pelargonium sidoides* (African geranium). It exhibits a multi-faceted mechanism of action, including antiviral and antibacterial properties, as well as secretolytic effects that facilitate the clearance of mucus from the respiratory tract. It is also known to modulate the immune response by increasing the activity of macrophages and natural killer cells. Unlike other products in the Pelavo line that are marketed as dietary supplements, Pelavo Med is registered as a medicinal product in Poland.
