Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pelubiprofen + eperisone is a fixed-dose oral combination developed by Daewon Pharmaceutical for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain and muscle spasms, particularly in conditions such as back pain. Pelubiprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the profen class that acts primarily as a cyclooxygenase inhibitor, reducing inflammation and pain. Eperisone is a centrally acting muscle relaxant that works by blocking voltage-gated calcium and sodium channels in the spinal cord, leading to reduced nerve conduction and decreased muscle spindle sensitivity; it also has vasodilatory effects via calcium antagonism. The combination aims to provide synergistic relief from both pain and muscle spasm without significant sedative side effects[2][3][7][6].
