Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pelvilen Dual Act is a combination product developed by Epitech Group SpA, containing micronized and ultra-micronized palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) along with the polyphenol trans-polydatin. As an ALIAmide-based formulation, it is designed to modulate the activity of mast cells and other non-neuronal immune cells, such as microglia and astrocytes, to control neuroinflammation in pelvic tissues. The addition of polydatin provides antioxidant activity to control oxidative stress associated with chronic inflammation. It is primarily indicated for the management of chronic pelvic pain associated with conditions like endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, chronic prostatitis, and irritable bowel syndrome. It is marketed as a food supplement for special medical purposes under medical supervision.
