Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pelvilen Dual Act Microgranuli is an ALIAmide-based oral and sublingual microgranule formulation developed by Epitech Group for the management of chronic pelvic pain. It contains a combination of ultra-micronized palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) and m-PEAPOL, which is PEA co-micronized with the antioxidant polydatin (trans-polydatin). The product utilizes the ALIA (Autacoid Local Inflammation Antagonism) mechanism, where PEA acts to modulate the activation of mast cells and other non-neuronal immune cells, such as microglia and astrocytes, thereby reducing neuroinflammation and peripheral sensitization in pelvic tissues. Polydatin provides complementary antioxidant activity to mitigate oxidative stress associated with chronic inflammation. It is indicated for chronic pelvic pain associated with conditions such as endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, recurrent cystitis, chronic prostatitis, and irritable bowel syndrome.
