Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PEM-ST is a clinical-stage therapeutic candidate developed by Lamark for the treatment of lung cancer. It is a modified version of the anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody pembrolizumab, utilizing Lamark's proprietary "Soft-Targeting" (ST) technology. The ST platform is designed to optimize the pharmacokinetic profile and tissue distribution of established biologics, potentially enhancing their therapeutic index by improving tumor penetration or reducing systemic immune-related adverse events. By binding to the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor, PEM-ST blocks the inhibitory signals from PD-L1 and PD-L2, thereby restoring and enhancing T-cell mediated anti-tumor immune responses. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials.
