Overview

This is a combination regimen comprising **pembrolizumab** (an anti–PD-1 monoclonal antibody immunotherapy), **boserolimab** (a CD27 agonist monoclonal antibody), **carboplatin** (a platinum-based alkylating chemotherapy agent), and **paclitaxel** (a microtubule inhibitor chemotherapy). Pembrolizumab blocks the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) on T-cells, enhancing immune-mediated tumor cell killing. Boserolimab targets CD27, a costimulatory molecule on T cells, promoting T cell activation and proliferation. Carboplatin causes DNA cross-linking and cell death, while paclitaxel interferes with microtubule function, inhibiting cell division. This four-drug regimen is being investigated primarily for advanced/metastatic solid tumors—especially in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)—to synergize immune checkpoint blockade, immune co-stimulation, and cytotoxic chemotherapy for enhanced antitumor activity[2][6].
