Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of pembrolizumab (an anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody) and nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel (a taxane chemotherapy agent). This combination is used primarily for the treatment of metastatic squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), often administered with carboplatin as part of a first-line treatment regimen. The combination works by both enhancing the immune system's ability to detect and fight cancer cells (pembrolizumab) and by disrupting cancer cell division (paclitaxel).
